Why 9/11 Doesn’t Impact Me

Sadly the events of 9/11 doesn’t matter to me. For some reason, this tragic day where thousands of people died does not move my soul. It might be that I wasn’t born then, so I didn’t get to see this horrific event unfold in the present time. It also might be that nobody close to me was affected by it. Luckily for me, none of my family or people dear to me was affected by the attacks.

The events of 9/11 do not stand out to me. With so much tragedy throughout history and recent times, the events of 9/11 do not strike a nerve for it to matter to me. Tragedy, throughout history, has been a constant thing. Europe suffered a tragedy when the plague almost erased their entire population. The Jewish community suffered a tragedy when Adolf Hitler killed six million of them. These things happen; it is like they are destined to. So letting it impact me would be worrying about something I have no control over.
