Nearly two-hundred young adults crowded into the cafeteria for a “Black History Celebration” on Friday, February 26 to commemorate African American achievements and culture. The performers expressed present-day frustrations felt in the African American community through poetry and singers inspired hope with their ballads. The St. Vincent’s Academy African Dance team dressed in tribal skirts infatuating the crowd with impressive choreography. The thrilling ceremony finished with a heart-felt performance of the “Black National Anthem.”
